A zine designed, creative directed, printed, and prepared by myself in collaboration with writer/photographer Philip Hobobo and Illustrator Aremo Massa.
Problem
After sharing an incredible story about two unlikely lovers and sharing beautiful images of flora, Philip and I agreed that we create a zine together. He tasked me in being able to combine those assets into a well designed and approachable zine. We partnered with Aremo to add illustrations.
Process
I wanted to approach this zine and make it practical, meaningful, and unique to everything involved. I came up with the idea of having this zine packaged as flower seeds packet are. So I designed it to follow the sizing of 3.5 x 4.5. Inside contains actual seeds with instructions on the back for the buyer of this zine to plant, if they like. In this packet, aside from flower seeds, contains a holographic sticker and the zine itself.

I also decided to make each page a different style to ensure that the reader is captivated by the different aura each image of the flora brings creating pages that don't just end when the words do.
Solution
I successfully created a very unique experience in providing, not only a story with images, but to marry, story telling, visual art, and participation on said story. I also successfully created packaging that is undoubtedly unique to the story inside this zine.
